Tout dans ce film est parfait : l'histoire, les décors, les comédiens, la réalisation, la musique, etc. Ça fait 3 fois que je le regarde, que je le scrute, et je marche à chaque fois. Une chose me chicotte : la fin heureuse et anti-dramatique. Tout est morbide dans ce scénario alors, il faut aller jusqu'au bout. Claude Salvaille.

Film pas mal avec un thème très intéressant. C'est dommage, il aurait pu être géniaL mais le film avait tout de même quelque défauts, notamment au niveau du jeu des acteurs, de scènes un peu stéréotypées, d'une fin hollywoodienne, et l'absence de réalisme : lorsque Douglas Hall découvre qu'il vit lui aussi dans un monde virtuel, le spectateur a du mal à s'identifier avec lui car dans notre monde, quand on prend une autoroute, elle se termine pas par des vecteurs! Ils auraient pu essayer de faire en sorte que nous aussi doutons de notre monde, sans jamais pouvoir le vérifier (à la Matrix) mais bon c'est très sympa quand même!

Un film etrange pour les fans de la fiction absurde. Un film qui nous place en apesenteur, par son image incroyable et a la fois très fictif et realiste en même temps. Ambiance très GATTACA. M'a fait pensé au jeu "Flashback / Out of this World". Le scenario n'est pas très important, c'est un film pour les yeux, si on vous a déjà dit que vous êtes etrange vous aimerez.

Je suis resté "scotché" à l'écran tout le long du film! Il est très bien réalisé avec une intrigue aussi impressionante qu'originale. Le côté "humain" est bien abordé et les acteurs (surtout les trois principaux) sont très bons. Il s'agit ici d'un film banal. On voit bien que le réalisateur voulait créer une ambiance à la BladeRunner. Les éclairages, les dialogues pleins de mystère et même les motifs sur les murs de la chambre du héros, tous ces éléments sont directement tirés du chef-d'oeuvre de Ridley Scott. À cela, le réalisateur a greffé une histoire dont le concept est franchement prometteur (et utilisé d'ailleurs avec brio par Matrix quelques mois auparavant), mais qui, finalement, laisse sur notre faim. C'est dommage. On aurait voulu que le réalisateur s'attarde plus sur les acteurs (à peu près tous inconnus, sauf le très talentueux Vincent D'Onofrio) que sur les éclairages sophistiqués. On dirait un film-culte fait en usine. Il n'y a pas d'âme, tout a été fait rapidement dans le seul but, on dirait, de faire un peu plus d'argent. Après des films traitant d'un même sujet (mais avec beaucoup plus de virtuosité) sortis la même année, comme eXistenZ et Matrix, le 13e Étage ne tient tout simplement pas la route. Quelques dialogues marquent, mais le film en soi reste très moyen. Jusqu'ici, Matrix reste le champion incontesté des films de réalité virtuelle (un concept rare dans les films, si l'on exclut les mangas japonaises), même si le traitement est très différent. À voir surtout pour les éclairages (je me répète, mais ils sont vraiment réussis! ) et pour Vincent D'Onofrio. Le 13e Étage se prend au sérieux, et ça parait un peu trop. Dommage.

Un autre film sur les réalités virtuelles. Pas le meilleur film qui traite du sujet, celui-ci prend l'aspect d'un film noir. Le caractère policier de l'intrigue est fort apprécié, mais le dénouement manque un peu d'originalité. Malgré le fait que certains acteurs manquent de charisme, la plupart des personnages sont intéressants.

Excellent film!!! Je suis surpris des critiques négatives de plusieurs, pourtant ce film ressemble à The Sixth Sense (le personnage principale découvre un monde qu'on nous montre comme n'ayant aucun sens, jusqu'àttend qu'on apprenne qu'il fait lui aussi parti de ce même monde). C'est facinant!

Le treizième étage offre un scénario désuet à l'intrigue facile. Multiples sont les films de ce genre à avoir utilisé le concept des univers parallèles. Le jeu des acteurs est passable, rares sont les émotions qui frappent. À éviter.

Super ce film et mmm c'est pas une copie d'eXistenZ ou The matrix ou si c'est une copie les réalisateurs ont fait un miracle... pcq faire un film en quelques semaines après la sortie de The Matrix et d'eXistenZ ben c'est un miracle... J'ai aimé ce film j'ai pas dutout regreté mon 8$ et j'ai pas regretté non plus mon 35$ pour le DVD
