Je voulais voir ce film depuis un bon moment déjà et j'ai enfin pu le visionner à la télévision. Ce fût à la hauteur de mes attentes, excellent! Tim Burton nous offre un autre grand film, et son choix de le tourner en noir et blanc ajoute une dose incroyable d'authenticité! J'avais vu 1 ou 2 films de Ed Wood et je dois avouer que j'avais bien apprécier malgré les nombreux défauts, je prenais ça avec humour et j'ouvrais les portes de mon imagination pour me plonger dans l'histoire. J'ai ensuite lu quelque peu sur sa vie, et je trouvais qu'il s'agissait d'un personnage (car oui c'était tout un personnage) bien énigmatique! D'où mon envie féroce de visionner ce film! Et en plus d'avoir été agréablement divertît, d'avoir rit, d'avoir été ému, et parfois même troublé, j'ai enfin pu comprendre ce personnage! Quel être fascinant, une personne extrêmement passionnée, qui avait un état d'esprit très différent de la plupart des gens! C'est tellement émouvant de le voir saisir le seul mot positif d'une critique destructrice! De plus, Burton met de la lumière sur sa relation amicale avec Bela Lugosi, le fameux interprète de Dracula! On en apprend aussi beaucoup sur sa vie, et c'est très fascinant!! Mais pour moi, l'élément le plus magique de ce film, celui qui m'a le plus touché, c'est la performance tout à fait électrisante de Johnny Deep dans le rôle de Ed Wood! Il est tout simplement exquis!! Selon moi, Depp est le meilleur acteur de sa génération et l'un des meilleurs acteur de tous les temps, il est polyvalent et il le prouve une fois de plus à travers ce film sensationel!! Il doit donc être vu par tous les amateurs de cinéma, autant pour admirer la technique de travail assez unique de Wood, mais aussi pour voir cette réalisation majestueuse que nous offre Burton! De plus, son choix d'acteur est très intéressant, la ressemblance entre les vrais gens est assez impressionante! Chapeau!

Très bon film. C'est dur à croire que ce gars là a déjà existé. Au fait, pour avoir vu "Plane nine from outer space", je peux dire que c'est reproduit à la perfection dans Ed Wood. On finit par croire que Johny Depp est vraiment Ed wood à force de regarder le film.

Ce film ne pas pas déçu je l ai acheter récement car je suis fan de Johnny et je dois dire que j'ai adoré. ce n est pas son meilleur film mais il ne reste qu'il est excellent. Je vous conseille de voir également un film de Johnny qui se nomme fear and loathing in las vegas. Adorable et drôle à... mourir.

Un merveilleux film sur l'un des plus grands réalisateurs de navets de tous les temps! Ce qui m'intrigue le plus chez Ed Wood, c'est sa velonté de faire du cinéma même si cela le ruinait. Au moins lui, il ne le faisait pas pour l argent. Johnny Depp est excellent dans le rôle principale, je vous conseille de voir également PLan 9 from outer space, qui est vraiment le chef d oeuvre d'Ed Wood.

Ed Wood: l'homme qui filmait tout de travers Ce qui est beau chez Ed Wood, c'est son raffinement dans la médiocrité! Il aimait tellement ça être derrière la caméra et capturer les images qu'on finit par oublier qu'il a presque inventé le navet de science-fiction à lui seul. Il faut dire que c'était l'époque incroyable de l'ultra-cheap horror movie. Pourquoi les années 50 ont tant été peuplées par ce type de cinéma? C'est peut-être cette peur qu'avaient les Américains après la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale. Une Peur qui se cristallise par la montée du bloc communiste et la menace d'une guerre nucléaire. On peut facilement imaginer aujourd'hui les jeunes gens de 16-30 ans de cette décennie. Ils devaient avoir "la chienne" que les Russes et les Américains en arrivent à un face à face. Tout était secret, il n'y avait que des rumeurs qui perçaient le Mur de Fer. Cette tension incomparable a donné d'excellents films, mais a aussi eu son lot de matériels douteux. Ed Wood n'a pas vraiment fait pire que les autres dans le genre, mais nous retenons son nom par symbolisme. L'Écho de son nom ressemble à Hollywood, alors c'est plus frappant que Roger Corman -réalisateur de It Conquered The World (1956)- par exemple. Le film de Tim Burton nous démontre comment l'excentrique personnage est venu à créer des petits bijoux psychotroniques abolument grotesques mais ô combien cultes et drôles! Un véritable voyage dans le cloaque cinématographique, là où le maître du mauvais cadrage, de la mauvaise direction d'acteurs et des effets spéciaux tordants d'échecs, vivait son rêve de créateur. On le voit assez souvent faire référence à Orson Welles. Il en était obsédé; il aurait dû prendre des notes en regardant les films du réalisateur de Citizen kane et Touch Of Evil! Imaginez la scène, le plus minable des artistes s'intéresse au maître absolu! Un peu comme si Normand L'Amour disait qu'il a trouvé son inspiration pour composer Le P'tit Pinson en écoutant des oeuvres de Karlheinz Stockhausen! Patrick Léveillé, écrivain, poète.

Un film sur le maitre du Z, réalisé par un genie du cinéma Mr Tim Burton en personne, les acteurs sont très bon... Je vous laisse, je vais regarder "PLAN 9 FROM OUTHER SPACE", film completment naze mais avec un charme enorme Merci ED et TIM, pour votre passion de cet art.

Après avoir vu ce film on a une seule envie, c'est de voir tous les films de Ed Wood, même celui qui est dans les records Guiness comme étant le pire film de toute l'histoire du cinéma. Malheureusement à moins d'être abonné à la Boîte Noire, ça ne vaut même pas la peine d'y penser et inutile de chercher au Blockbuster. Ed Wood était un réalisateur hors du commun et ses idées ont été réduites par un manque d'argent. Johnny Depp nous le fait découvrir avec son talent d'acteur qui ne cèsse de m'émerveiller. Lui et tout le reste de la distribution, particulièrement Martin Laudau qui interprète les dernier moments de Bela Lugosi. Un film merveilleux, magique, triste et comique tout à la fois, le tout réalisé par le toujours excellent Tim Burton et accompagné d'une trame sonore de Danny Elfman. Quoi demander de mieux? La couleur? Non, jamais! Vive ceux qui utilisent encore le noir et blanc volontairement à fins esthétiques et historiques. Il faut absolument voir ce film, que ce soit pour découvrir Ed Wood et Bela Lugosi, pour voir tous les films de Burton ou même pour Johnny Depp.
