Il m'est difficile de comprendre la note de 4 en 2000 alors qu'aujourd'hui, Je constate que ce film est un véritable chef-d'oeuvre.

Personnellement, j'ai énormément apprécié. Que ce soit le scénario ou le décor époustouflant... Première scène, on est déjà captivés et choqués. Franchement, ça aurait mérité d'être encore plus développé. Mais j'ai adoré.

J'ai vraiment adoré ce film. J'ai trouvé qu'il créait avec intelligence une ambiance fantastique, et on sortait des clichés médiocres souvent véhiculés dans les films du genre "end of days" où satan se fait défoncer avec un lance-roquette. Dans ce cas-ci, il s'agissait de recherches mystiques, de traités anciens de démonologie... Une atmosphère sombre, envoûtante, bien rendue par Johny Depp, très convaicant, pas trop gratuitement héroïque. Une trame sonore qui soutient bien le film. Fan de bibliophilie et intéressé par la démonologie, ce film traitait des deux avec intelligences. À écouter avec un vieux bordeaux à la main... dans un salon anglais, avec pantoufles et jetée ; )

Je ne suis pas de l'avis de bien des gens par rapport à ce film... je l'ai trouvé envoutant!! Une ambiance très solide et horrifique... De plus, le film traite de 2 sujets que je trouve très intéressant, celui des livres, et celui du Diable! Ne vous inquiétez pas, je ne suis pas un genre de suppôt de Satan :P Mais reste que tout ce qui touche à la mythologie du Diable m'a toujours extrêmement fasciné.. Donc de retrouver ces 2 éléments réunis dans un même film, c'est un plus pour moi! J'adore voir Johnny Depp explorer des bibliothèques remplies de livres rares, dont plusieurs traitant de sujets occultes, de le voir voyager d'un endroit à l'autre, de receuillir des informations des plus troublantes au fur et à mesure que le film progresse! On y rencontre toute sortes de gens, y découvre toute sortes de lieux... vraiment c'est un bon film, au rhytme lent et maîtrisé, comme seul Polanski sait le faire!

Ce film est vraiment excellent, je trouve vraiment dommage que des personnes qui n'ont pas pris le temps de réfléchir pour combler les "trous" du film se permettent d'emmettre un avis considérablement injuste et faible sur ce film. C'est un film de réflexion donc c'est tout à fait normal qu'il y ait des "longueurs". Personnellement je trouve la fin très surprenante, et dans le bon sens du terme, cela change des autres films.

Bon. Quelque peu frustrant pour la fin. Moi qui a un gros appetit, je doit dire que je suis rester sur ma faim. Magnifique film qui me fait rever, document et volume magnifique. La fin porte un peu trop sur la reflexion, quelque petit moments detaillé si on est remarquant. Merveilleuse perfomance de Johnny Depp. Quelque peu flou selon moi, mais qui n'est pas plus ma puisque cela me pousse a lire le roman, se qui assouvira peut-être ma faim. Mais la traduction et les voix en francais sont plus qu'affreuse, je dirait même catastrophique, je croit que je vais regarder l'original en anglais. Mais bon... je ne dirait pas que c'est un des meilleurs mais c'est quand même un film à voir malgré des scènes que j'aurait volontié raccourci.

Je suis une fille de 17 ans et j'ai adoré ce film. Je trouve qu'il s'agit d'un véritable chef-d'oeuvre. Je suis une amateure de films d'action mais j'ai quand même su apprécier ce film qui est devenu mon préféré. La première fois ou je l'ai vu, je suis restée perplexe car je n'avais pas compris la fin mais, par la suite j'ai adoré. Ce n'est pas un film à la portée de tous vu son genre très spécial. J'ai aimé les personnages en particulier Corso que je trouve très sexy! Il faut suivre attentivement toute l'histoire, sinon on risque de perdre des détails importants. Pour ceux qui ont trouvé le film trop long et ennuyant, je crois que vous n'avez pas bien compris l'histoire. J'ai aussi aimé la bo car je trouve qu'elle met encore plus d'ambiance dans le film. Ce film est définitivement non conventionnel. Soit on le déteste, soit on l'adore. Moi j'ai adoré. C'est lent, ok, mais ça change des films qui vont à cent à l'heure. La lenteur, la lumière, la photo, le décor sopnt autant de choses qui créent une ambiance extraordinaire: gothique, spirituelle, intellectuelle,... une atmosphere qui plonge le spectateur dans le film jusqu'à sa fin. J'ai adoré l'ambiance du film, le jeu des acteurs, et la BO qui est elle-aussi à ne pas rater.

Définitivement pas le genre de film auquel Hollywood nous a habitué. La neuvième porte est un suspense fantastique qui ne mise pas sur les effets spéciaux et le sang. Au lieu de ça on a droit à un suspense habilement mené, avec des images sombres et envoutantes. Les scènes près du chateau sont particulièrement bien réussis. Des scènes qui peuvent vous faire sursauter et vous faire peur :-). J'ai adoré ce film car j'étais intrigué à savoir la fin dès le début. Je ne vous dirais rien d'autre juste allez "louer ce film excellent. "

C'est pas un film à l'américaine, on ne peut pas le regarder passivement! Pour ceux qui n'ont rien compris au film, je suggère fortement de lire le livre d'Arturo Perez-Reverte: Le Club Dumas. Le livre comprend deux intrigues en parallèles qui ont été rapporter en une seule pour le film. En lisant le livre, on comprend mieux le jeu des acteurs et les personnages du film. La fin du film est mystérieuse et décevante pour certain. Il faut comprendre que Corso (Johnny Depp), est pris dans un jeu avec le diable, c'est une énigme entourant le livre des neufs portes du royaume de l'enfer. Ceux qui n'ont pas compris la fin, n'ont pas compris que Corso à élucidé le mystère. Les frères cenzinas ont forgé un des livres (pour l'amour de l'art). C'est un film à voir avec un esprit ouvert, l'histoire nous est pas servi toute préparé à l'américaine... On doit remplir les blancs et faire les connections!

Pour tout vous dire j'ai detestée ce film en plus la fin est très mauvaise le scènario aurait pu être beaucoup mieux mais bon chacun ses goût... Si il a plus rien à louer au club video vous pourrez toujours le louer à vos risque et péril...

Polanski aime finir ses films sur des notes discordantes qui souvent placent son spectateur dans l'ambiguité voire l'inconfort. Mais il SAIT mettre les histoires en images: elles nous captivent, nous transportent, nous surprennent. Il sait aussi faire travailler des acteurs de talent. La 9ème porte ne fait pas exception. Ce n'est pas son plus grand film. Mais Polanski est un maître dont chaque prestation mérite au moins un détour JH

Excellent film. À rapprocher de Lune de Fiel pour l'ambiance glauque et Emmanuelle Seigner. Évidemment le diable n'y est pas représenté comme dans la culture courante Hollywoodienne. Pour ceux qui ne saisissent pas ne dit-on pas "attention à la beauté du Diable". Qui as-dit que le diable devrait être repoussant et surtout prévisible? Pourquoi choisir Jonny Depp plutôt que l'autre? Répondre à cette question c'est comprendre le film à mon avis. En résumé, comme plusieurs l'on dit, ce n'est pas un film d'action pour amateurs de popcorn. Moi, j'ai trouvé ce film rafraichissant, songé, avec une superbe cinématographie et avec des personnages plus prêt de la vie réelle, surtout Jonny Depp.

Un film à aller voir absolument! Je dis bien ABSOLUMENT! A partir de la minute ou le film commence, on est plongé dans le suspense. Ça n'est pas un suspense banal ( sanglant, bourrer d'effets speciaux), c'est un suspense ou l'on utilise beaucoup notre imagination. Certaines personnes ont affirmés que le film avait des longueurs, en realite ça n'est vraiment pas le cas car sans ses "longueurs" on ne comprendrait rien au film. Il faut regarder avec attention et bien écouter car tout s'enchaine. Il est bien sur evident qu'il faut utiliser son intelligence et surtout son imagination (pas evident pour ceux conditionner aux films A l'Hollywoodienne). Polanski a encore une fois realisé un chef-d'oeuvre. Le rythme lent accentue le suspense et on se sent vraiment embarqué dans l'histoire. C'est comme ci on etait avec les acteurs. Je dois aussi souligner la belle performance d'Emmanuelle Seigner, qui dans le film est angelique et demoniaque, et qui a des yeux envoutants. Tout est basé sur la rencontre de Corso (Johnny Depp) et de cette femme. Pour ceux qui n'ont pas compris la fin, c'est simple, après que Corso et la femme aient fait l'amour devant le chateau, la curiosite du bibliophile se transforme en desir de rejoindre le diable, c'est-a-dire la femme. Donc Corso, cherche la dernière gravure et y voit exactement le chemin qu'il doit suivre (se rerendre au chateau pour enfin retrouver la femme et bien sur franchir la neuvieme porte). En fait dans ce film tout est basé sur le desir: le desir d'être immortel, le desir d'être riche et bien sur le desir de rejoindre l'ensorceleuse (le diable). Un film que je vous recommande fortement surtout si vous appreciez les films ou il faut penser, ou il faut utiliser son imagination et deduire certaines choses. Très bon suspense!

Attention, ce film n'est ni un film d'horreur, ni un film d'action. Vous risqueriez d'être très déçus. Ceci dit, j'ai beaucoup aimé ce film. Le débit est délibérément lent, mais jamais ennuyant grâce à une excellente mise en scène. Le personnage principal est fascinant et réaliste. (Un chasseur de bouquins n'a pas les instincts de combats d'un mercenaire. ) La fin me semble un peu précipitée, mais c'est comme un casse-tête. On nous donne la dernière pièce sans explication, puis c'est seulement quinze minute plus tard que nous comprenons. C'est quand même un bel effet.

Le film Neuvième porte est très bon. On se retrouve tout le temps dans des endroits sombres. Un mercenaire de livre rare, part à la recherche des deux autres exemplaires d'un livre pour les authentifiés, lequel est mandaté par un bibliophile qui est prêt à tout pour se les procurer. Notre mercenaire va se retrouver dans des situations problématiques et à chaque fois, il y a un mort. Comment se fait-il que le bibliophile sait toujours ou il est? Autour de lui, pour le sauver des catastrophes, il y a un ange ou démon féminin. Il ne saura la vérité qu'à la fin du film;nous aussi!

La Neuvième Porte est un excellent film. Chaque personne qui voit ce film peut en tirer sa propre conclusion. Revirements après revirements on se demande ce qui est vrai et ce qui est faux. À preuve qu'il y a des choses que l'on doit faire soi-même...

Dégoutant! Affreux! Endormant! Si vous voulez aller voir ça, dormez 15 heures et aller y à sept heure le soir, pour être sûr d'être éveillé tout le long du film, interminable et sans aucun but ou scénario convenable, seulement le fric qui rentre après l'avoir produit, un citron tant qu'à moi!

Rien de plus mauvais! Je soupçonne Roman Polanski d'avoir voulu délibérément laisser les gens sur leur faim afin de les inciter à pousser leur curiosité plus loin face au satanisme. Chose que je déplore, mais quoiqu'il en soit, le film est plate à mourir.

Ouais, ouais, ouais... Je lirais volontiers le livre duquel est inspiré ce "film", cependant, je ne regarderai pas ce film même s'il passait à la télé. L'idée de départ est bonne mais après une demi-heure tu ne fais qu'espérer qu'autre chose se passe, tu penses que peut-être la prochaine scène te revèlera quelque chose de nouveau et d'inattendu, surtout d'inattendu. C'est vraiment dommage que l'idée n'aie pas été mieux exploitée... Pitié!!! Si vous voulez absolument voir ce film, attendez qu'il passe à la télé ou mieux encore, lisez le livre : El Club Dumas de Arturo Perez-Reverte. Moi en tout cas je vais essayer de le denicher pour le lire, ça ne peut pas être pire que le film!! Je mets un 1 parcequ'on ne peut pas mettre de zero.

Un "bon" Polanski sans être excellent. Un peu trop intello pour la plupart des spectateurs si on en croit les critiques ci-haut. J'ai pour ma part beaucoup apprécié l'atmosphère, le jeu de la caméra et des acteurs. L'ambiguité du personnage principal est par ailleurs très intéressante. L'histoire est excellente et ce, malgré quelques invraisemblances bien pardonnables (c'est un film!). J'ai bien apprécié la fin contrairement à plusieurs. J'aime bien quand on ne nous donne pas toutes les clés et que l'interprétation reste libre.

On nous fait découvrir l'univers des livers anciens... ça semblait intéressant. La fin vient tout gâcher. Les choses ne sont pas obligées de bien finir mais de là à se faire prendre pour des cons. Une question que je me suis posé tout au long du film: pourquoi Balkan n'a-t-il pas fait sa recherche lui-même? Il semblait aussi bien s'y connaître que Corso.

Tout d'abord le film est bien et j'ai apprécié l'histoire mais le problème est que le déroulement est long c'est de valeur car l'idée du film et le mystère est bon. Ça reste quand même un film à voir mais j'avoue que c'est un peu long comme film ils auraient du mettre un peu plus d'action. Melanya

Amateurs de vidéo-clip flash, s'abstenir. And for those who thought that this movie didn't need any thinking... Think again! Malgré un tempo assez lent, il est vrai, on ne s'ennuie pas, si on amène avec nous un peu de culture générale, un sens critique cinématographique et certaines connaissances en histoire... Spirituelles ou religieuses, à votre guise. Mais de grâce, ne condamnez pas ce que vous n'avez pas compris simplement pas ignorance! Ange ou démon, vous le découvrirez en en discutant avec des amis après le film, autour d'un bon café. Car c'est ainsi qu'il se laisse découvrir, qu'il se déguste, ce film. En en discutant et en mettant en commun les différentes parties que chacun a compris. Ça peut devenir très excitant, même! Les jeux de fumée sur deux plan... Le mystère de "l'ange" gardien... Tous fascinants! Le chemin vers la lumière... Réfléchissez et vous comprendrez si elle est démone ou angélique :)
